Weather and sesaons

In this unit I learned many things about the weather, for example:

The weather is a very popular topic of conversation in Britain. That's because the weather changes a lot. Many days in Britain are overcast. Dull, grey and often cold. When the weather is good, people complain that it's too hot. When the weather isn't good the people says it's too wet or is too cold.

Sesaons in Britain are fiarly clear. Winter it's cold and wet but doesn't snow. Spring it's to get a bit warmer and there are more sunny days. Summer it's very hot. Autumn often has foggy, cold, wet days and the leaves fall from the trees.

In the Britain there is on of the most important weather centres in the world. The Met Office employs over a thousnad people. They provide weather forecasts fo radio, television and newspapers on on the Internet.

In this unit I learned many things about libraries, books and people, for example:

The British people read a lot. They read books, newspapers and magazines. 65% of British people reading for pleasure as a major hobby.
They can buy books in a bookshop or they can borrow books, CDs, DVDs, film in a public library.
Also there are libraries where you can take a cup or coffee or you can also see an art exhibition

I think reading is very interesting and good way to imagination, so I think the British do very well be many bookstores and libraries to read.

In Britain many people practise sport every weekend, but some people prefer to watch sports, for example football. From August to April football is everywhere.
Football is the national sport of Britain. The top level of the game is professional football in the Premiership. They went to a training sessions with a Premiership team from South East London, Charlton Athletic. The players training every morning. Is a very strong training.

Also there is the cricket. This sport is the main summer sport in Britain. Local teams play in towns and villages every Saturday and Sunday from April to September.

Worldwide Fund for Nature

In this unit I learned many things about animals, for example these:
People love animals. But some of the world's animals are in danger of extinction. This problem is caused for man.
Another problem is the destructions of the forests. This is removing the habitat of many animals, like these gorillas, birds and plants.
But, there is an international organization, the Worldwide Fund for Nature. It looks at all aspects of conservation including animals, plants...

I think, this organization is a very big help for the animals of the world, also the people can visit this animals and have fun

Homes in britain

In this unit I learned many things about the houses in britain, for example these:

The people in Britain, can live in houses or flats, in towns or the countryside... The 90% of the population live in towns.
There are lots of different kinds of houses:
-Terraced houses
-Semi-detached houses
-Detached houses
-Flats
Houses in different parts of Britain can look very different. There are lots of regional variations because the builders use local materials. There are also differences in age. Some houses are very modern and some are hundreds of years old.
A famous traditional saying is "An Englishman's home is his castle. British people spend a lot of time and money on their homes and gardens. This is called DIY (Do it yourself)

The school day

In this unit I learned many things of school, for example these:

The school day starts with registration where the teacher checks everybody is in school. Each lesson lasts for an hour and at the end of the lesson a bell rings.

After 2 o 3 lessons students have fifteen minutes for go out in the playground. Then the students back to work. But there's always the lunch break to look forward to.

After lunch the students back to the classroom again. The finally bell rings at 3 o'clock to mark the end of school.
Then students go to home and do homeworks every day.

The packed lunch

In this unit I learned many things about the lunch, for example these.

Most schools in Britain provide hot meals and salads every day but many students prefer to take their own lunch to school.
To do this using a packed lunch, and inside there is their lunch, for example crisps, chocolate, and fatty food and this is unhealthy. The British Government is worried that many children are obese. They want people to eat five pieces of fruit and vegetables every day.

One school in England helps students to eat healthy food with Green Machine.
Green Machines have got lots of interesting snacks. There are cereal bars, organic crisps, yoghurts... And this is healthy.

The royal family

-In this unit I learned many things about the royal family, for example these

The Queen of England is Elizabeth the Second.
The Queen's husband is the Duke of Edinburg. They've got four children. Their oldest son is Prince Charles, he's the Prince of Wales. His two sons are Prince William and Prince Harry.

The Queen lives in a palace in London, the palace name's is Buckingham Palace.

The royal Family's name is Windsor and they've got a castle in the town of Windsor.

Prince William and Prince Harry are the Queen's grandchildren. They sons of Princess Diana and Prince Charles.
Prince William and Prince Harry play sport called polo.

The Prince William and Prince Harry live in Clarence house
The Prince William just before he went to university at St Andrew's in Scotland.

It is difficult for the Royal family to have private lives. Newspapers and television want stories about them. They really like stories about the young princes.
